WESTBURY, Leslie Victor - 75, Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully June 13, 1999, at home. Born in Montreal, he was a son of the late Edward and Annie (Holton) Westbury. In his earlier years he worked for the Royal Navy (1940-1948) and the Royal Canadian Navy (1948-1970). He then worked 14.5 years with Coast Guard Canada where he retired and became a commissionaire. He enjoyed fishing, especially at the Miramichi. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a beloved husband of wife, Barbara. Surviving are sons, Paul (Kathy), Moncton, N.B.; Stephen (Janet), Vancouver; daughters, Debbie (Lorraine) Sackville; Rhonda (Steven), Calgary, Alta.; Lesley Ann (Russell), Grahams Corner; Joan Nadine (Sheldon), Elmsdale; stepson, Michael Boutilier (Irma), Beaver Bank; stepdaughters, Lana Larder, Dartmouth; Ruth Larder, Beaver Bank; Deanna Pavlove (Daryll), Calgary, Alta.; sister, Audrey Taylor, Windsor, Ont.; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his first wife, Joan. He was predeceased by brothers, Edward, Harold, Sam; and sister, Gwen. No visitation by request. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church Of The Good Shepard, Beaver Bank. Reception to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Sackville - Calais Legion, Branch 162. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society, Halifax. Arrangements entrusted to Dignity Cremation Services.
