Died: 12 Feb 2021, Surrey, British Columbia

 

HILBERT, John Albert (Jack) - Jack, 93, of Chilliwack, B.C. and more recently as a resident of Zion Park Manor, Surrey passed away on February 12, 2021, with his family by his side. Jack joined the Navy at a young age and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia. Jack started his career at Cunningham Drugs and went on to manage the Woodwards Pharmacy at Oakridge, Vancouver. From there Jack branched out by adding merchandising to his portfolio and provided leadership to the London Drug Stores throughout the lower mainland. He moved to Chilliwack, B.C. in 1975 and became an Associate owner of the Shoppers Drug Mart in Chilliwack, until his retirement. Jack was an avid golfer and a long standing member of the Pitt Meadows Golf Club and then the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club. Jack is predeceased by his wife, Jessie and is survived by his daughters, Janice and Jo-Anne (Steve) and son David, close family friend Rebecca, and his grandchildren (Jennifer, Tyler, Sarah) and great grandchildren (Mason, Emma). At Dad's request, there will be a private family service. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Zion Park Manor.
