Frank Clifford Ward

Died: 03 Sep 1957, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

According to the obituary for his daughter Adelaide who was killed in the Halifax Explosion, Frank Ward was an Engineer aboard HMCS ST JULIEN.  The RCN ledger sheet has his year of birth at 1874 (which was provided by Frank when he enlisted).  His death certificate on NS Vital Stats lists his year of birth as 1873, which was provided by his son after his death.

DEATHS WARD - Adelaide V., aged 20 years and 11 months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Ward, Engineer of St. Julien, Naval patrol boat, victim of explosion. Will be buried from Spencer's Undertaking Rooms on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock to Fairview Cemetery.
