In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
GOVEIA, Anthony Claude - age 94, of Camp Hill, passed away March 14, 2021 at the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building. Born in Georgetown, Guyana he was the son of Alfred and Isabella (Cordoza) Goveia. Anthony joined the Navy in 1946 and served for more than 30 years. He was a member of the White Owl Club. He enjoyed being on the water and hunting. He gave to the Cancer Society and the War Amps. He loved dogs. Survived by sisters Rosita (Len) Bornais, Windsor, Ontario and Bernice (Tony) Walmesly, Scarborough Ontario; brothers Jerome (Jerry) Goveia, Georgetown, Guyana and Orlando (Pat) Goveia, Chatham, Ontario; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Odessa, sons David, Claude, Martin and Raymond, grandson David, brothers Alfred, Alvaro, Joe and sister Juliet. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lwr Sackville, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to War Amps or Canadian Cancer Society.
