JEWELL, David - On May 12, 2021 Dad went home to be reunited with his mom Annie (Wilson) and dad Arthur Jewell. Dad was born on November 29 1924. He had one brother Stan (Jean) Jewell and two sisters Winnie (Len) Crombie and a baby sister Jean who passed away as an infant. Dad grew up doing what he loved, fishing, exploring the river, and watching hockey. When the war started he joined the Canadian Navy and proudly went overseas to help serve his country. Serving on the Corvette HMCS Hespeler. When the war ended he came back home and bought a home in Ayr where his parents could live. That is where he met Joan Hallam. The two were married in 1955 and his family expanded gaining a sister-in-law Ellen (Alvin) Poll, brothers-in-law Reginald (Janice) Hallam and Lance (Joan) Hallam. Mom and Dad bought a home and started their family Robert Jewell (deceased), Catherine (Jim) Fleischhauer, Gary (Susan) Jewell and Barbara (Gerry) Morton. In 1968 the family bought a tent trailer and we travelled summers coast to coast from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. Dad took us hiking, fishing, and swimming. Creating lasting memories.
