McLENNAN, Charles Ewan - 65, Ottawa, died Saturday in Ottawa. Born in Napan, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Rev. T. E. McLennan, D.D. and Helen (Lavers) McLennan. He served in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War and saw convoy duty in the Atlantic and the North Sea in HMCS STORMONT. Later he was employed by the City of Ottawa until retirement. He is survived by his son, Sidney, Ottawa; three sisters, Joan MacLeod, New Glasgow; Jean Storey, Dartmouth; Sharon Dewar, Halifax; six brothers, Philip, Chilliwack, B.C.; Bruce, Dartmouth; Donald, Prince Edward Island; John, Montreal; George, Halifax; Laird, Fredericton, N.B. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Audrey Strange. Funeral will take place in Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to palliative care unit of any hospital.
