WILMOT, Bruce William - died on August 8, 2021, Born in Hamilton, ON, on April 24, 1933. Son of the late Gladys and Bill Wilmot of Stony Creek ON. Predeceased by his brother Bob Wilmont. Survived by his wife Kath, sister Carolyn (Ed) Kainola of Enfield, NS, his daughter Melanie (Cindy), grandson Alexander (Amanda), granddaughters, Allison (Tyler) and Madison, great-grandchildren Isabella and Alexis, and many loyal friends. Bruce spent 25 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a supply technician and maintained long-term relationships. Throughout his Naval Career from 1951 - 1977 he served on 17 ships. After retiring from the Navy, he spent 16 years as a groundskeeper at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. He describes this period of his life as having the best job one could hope for. He spent some time building boats under the company Telstar, one of which was a 43-foot fiberglass boat. Bruce spent 11 years on his beautiful sailboat "Seabear" where he enjoyed a trip to Mexico and explored Vancouver Island. His many interests included creating many watercolour paintings, Harry Heine was Bruce's mentor and teacher, stamp collecting, genealogy, gardening, travelling, fishing, golf and recently took up model ship building.
