KENYON, Richard Michael (Dick) - passed away peacefully (in his 84th year) at his cottage, overlooking St Margaret’s Bay & Peggy’s Cove. He served in the RCN from 1955 to 1960; sailing on the LABRADOR, CAYUGA and ATHABASKAN. Following his RCN service, Dick was employed by Alberta Tel; later returning to Halifax, he joined Maritime Tel & Tel., and, finally, he opened his own consulting business. Dick leaves his family: Wife, Kathleen (Kay); Son Jeffery; Daughter Deborah; Grandsons Todd; (M/S) Shawn; Payton and Great Granddaughter Bronwyn.
KENYON, Richard Michael (Dick) - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Richard. Born in Saskatchewan to Robert Borden and Daisy Olive Paynter on June 6, 1937. The family moved to British Columbia where he spent his adolescence and after high school he enlisted in the Canadian Navy for 5 years where he met and married wife Kathleen. Upon discharge they moved to Alberta where he was hired by AGT and offered a job in Wetaskiwin. After 10 years they returned to Nova Scotia where he went to work for M T & T until he retired. After retirement he started a consulting company and after 5 years retired again. Life was spent between Halifax and his favourite spot at the cottage in Bayswater and travelling the world. He was predeceased by his parents; step-mother, Lil; brothers William, David, Bud and daughter Michele Louise. He is survived by brothers Melvin (Susan), Reginald (Joanne) and sister, Kathy; wife, Kathleen; daughter, Deborah; son, Jeffrey (Shauna); grandsons, Todd, Shawn (Gabby), Payton and great granddaughter Bronwyn.
