In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BINNIE, Ruth Margaret (née BOYD) - Born in Vancouver August 27, 1922, Ruth passed away August 31, 2008. Ruth is survived by two sisters, Bing and Mary (Dick), her children Bill (Helen), Elizabeth (Rob), and special son Robbie, five grandchildren, Alison, Jason, Jennifer, Michael, and Christopher, and one great-granddaughter, Amber. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth was a WWII veteran of the WRENS, a UBC alumna, an artist, violinist, gardener, curler, traveller, volunteer, long-time West Vancouver resident, and summer resident of Vancroft Beach. Her intelligence, humour, generosity and bright spirit will be sorely missed. A reception will be held Friday, September 12, 2 pm to 5 pm, in West Vancouver to honour Ruth's life. No flowers, please.
