NICOL, Alfred Albert - of Langley, B.C. Born May 22, 1926 in Vancouver, B.C. Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side June 13, 2006. Al is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia. Children Chris (Debra), Jim. Grandchildren, Geoff (Tonya), Tyler, Alicia and Matthew. His sister Sharon (Bob) Foster and numerous nieces and nephews. Al served during WWII aboard a Fairmile Q117 and began his career in heavy industrial construction, after which he had 20 successful years of retirement. Al loved working at his computer, also building a cabin on Mayne Island was his way of relaxing and pleasure to him. An AWESOME husband and father and the best pappa any grandchild could have wished for. Always glad to hear what was going on in their lives. Dad you will be missed. We love you. No formal service. But there will be a celebration of Alfred's life on Saturday, June 24th at 2:00-5:00pm in the Clubhouse at Chelsea Green, 20391-96th Avenue, Langley. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 17 Jun 2006)
