Died: 13 Jan 2016

 

GODDEN, Alice (née DENNISON) - passed away peacefully in her sleep Jan.13 2016. She was surrounded by her loving family during her last days. She was born in Battleford Sask. as the 5th of 6 children in the Dennison family. She is survived by her loving husband Glen, their 3 sons, Gerry (Karen) Steve (Darcy) and Ken (Cheryl), 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, also 2 of her surviving brothers, Tom (Madeline) and Archie, and Helen surviving wife of Jack, and their families. Alice was very proud of her family and loved them all very much. She shared many adventures and memories with them all. She had a wonderful life, travelled the world with Glen her husband of 70 years as they made many memories together. Alice served in the WRCNS during the WW2 from 1943 to 1946 her service number was W2794, she was proud of her service. She met Glen in 1945 and they were married on Feb 2 1946. The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel Place and Homestead Companion Services for their loving care and support during her time with them. In lieu of a service there will be a private celebration of life at a later date. No flowers by request. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 22 Jan 2016)
