Died: 13 Nov 2003

 

DARLING, Mary - was born into the pioneer Vancouver Family of Henry Lieutenis and Mary Darling. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers and their wives; Donald (Grace), Gordon (Helen), John (Dorothy), Hugh, and her sister Constance. She leaves to mourn, 2 nephews, Peter (Helen), Victoria, Gordon (Dorinne), Kennewick, Wa.; four nieces, Beverley Thomas, Victoria, Jacklyn Kerr, Newport Beach, CA; Monica Bellemare, Pender Island and Valerie Paterson, Thunder Bay, Ont.; sister-in-law Marguerite Darling of Greenbrae, CA; as well as dear friend and caregiver, Arline Smith (Alan). Others who are left are numerous great-nieces and nephews, and recently a great-great-great niece. Mary served in the WRCNS (Wrens) during World War II, from 1943 - 1946. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 19, 2003 at St. Paul's B.C. Church, 8251 St. Alban's Rd., Richmond. Father Tom Smith Officiant. Interment Mountain View Cemetery.
