CAMPBELL, Catherine (Kay) (née BREWSTER) - Peacefully, at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, on October 20, 2012, at the age of 88, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Predeceased by her parents, Pierce and Elsie Brewster. Dearly- beloved wife of the late Douglas Campbell. Kay was a loving mother and grandmother and a kind friend to many. She will be sadly missed by her children Cathy, Bruce (Lisa) and Barbara Abe (Ryuichi) and fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Michael (Haeya), Miki and Miya and her great- grandchildren Kiera and Douglas. Kay was a proud member of the WRCNS during WWII and was active in the WRENS association in Ottawa. She worked many years at Sears St- Laurent before retiring. The family wish to convey their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Perley-Rideau Centre for their loving care and attention during her stay there. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 25 Oct at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Space at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Kay's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. (The Ottawa Citizen 22 Oct 2012)
