WORMWORTH, Thomas Claude, AB, 3201, RCN, MPK - 17 Dec 1940, HMS ACHERON - Son of Bertrand Claude and Florence Wormworth, of New Westminster, BC.

 

Able Seaman Thomas Claude Wormworth of Vancouver is listed as missing believed killed. He went overseas to take a course at Whale Island and was on loan to the Royal Navy. Able Seaman Wormworth of Swift Current was the son of Bertrand Claude and Florence Wormworth later of New Westminster, British Columbia. Thomas was born at Prince Albert and the carillon at St. Albans Anglican cathedral, Prince Albert, was dedicated to his memory and that of 28 of his fellow parishioners.
