STEEVES, Francis Ronald, Writer, 50731 RCN, died - 12 Jun 1947, HMCS NOOTKA - Son of Walter A. and Arloa Steeves; husband of Doris Steeves, all of Moncton, NB.

 

Francis Steeves served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War.  After the war he transferred to the RCN.

 

Writer F. R. Steeves died at the Royal Canadian Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia, whilst undergoing a local anesthetic for a minor operation, at which time nupercaine was injected into patient instead of novocaine.
