Able Seaman L. K. Miller drowned when he was washed overboard from HMCS Bittersweet in heavy seas off the coast of Ireland.
Able Seaman Lloyd Kenneth Miller has been reported lost at sea, according to word received by his mother, Mrs. Florence Miller, 143 Gottingen Street, Halifax. Able Seaman Miller entered the navy two years ago, the youthful sailor would have been 19 years of age on March 21. He was born and educated in Halifax. Surviving are his mother; three brothers, Edmund, serving in the Army overseas, Gerald, serving in the R.C.A.M.C., Halifax, and Robert in Stewiacke; also three sisters, Mrs. Phillip Clark, Lillian and Shirley at Stewiacke.
