AUCOIN, Amedee Patrick, Sto PO, V25073, RCNVR, died - 15 Jun 1944, HMCS MATANE - Son of Severin L. and Marie Aucoin, of Point Cross, Inverness Co., NS.

 

Stoker Petty Officer A. P. Aucoin died at U.S. Hospital, Garvagh, Londonderry Co., Northern Ireland from cerebral concussion and a fracture of the skull, which was caused when he fell from a horse, striking his head on the roadway, on June 13, 1944.  He is buried in the Londonderry City Cemetery, Londonderry Co., Northern Ireland.

 

Amedee was a Fireman before he enlisted into the R.C.N.V.R. on September 26, 1939.
