BRADLEY, Eric, AB, V18106, RCNVR, Died - 15 Aug 1943, Age 25, HMCS MAYFLOWER - Son of William and Edith A. Bradley, of Gananoque, ON.

 

Eric Bradley was born in Durham, England, 22 Jul 1918, and before the war worked as clerk. He enlisted 23 Aug 1940 at age 22 and served in the RCN. After training he was drafted to HMCS Mayflower. He died of meningitis brought on by a head injury received in a fight ashore in Belfast just after his ship had escorted a convoy to Northern Ireland. He is buried in the St. Andrew Churchard, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England.
