GASKIN, Paul Mitchell - Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, London, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, Paul Mitchell Gaskin in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Simpson) Gaskin. Loving father of Nora Gaskin, and Anne (Greig) Cooke, and beloved grandfather of Leigh Anne and Paul. Dear brother of John (Dorothy) Gaskin, Dr. Robert (Connie) Gaskin. and Frances Wade. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Walls, brother Eric Gaskin and his wife Alice, brother Cyrus Gaskin and his wife Phyllis, and brother-in-law Harry Wade. Also missed by his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Born in Moncton N.B., Paul served for four years, during WWII, in the Royal Canadian Navy, on the Corvette BUCTOUCHE, doing escort duty in the North Atlantic. He had a lengthy career with the Royal Bank of Canada in Montreal. He was active in service to the United Church in both Montreal and London. The family would like to thank the staff of 2 Perth at Parkwood for their dedicated, compassionate and respectful care of Paul during this past year. Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016,at 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Reverend Kenji Marui officiating.
