In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar

Morgan Albert Richards   RCN   Born: 25 Oct 1929          Died: 15 Feb 2011

RICHARDS, Morgan Albert -  Morgan passed peacefully 11 years ago at 82 years old with his family by his side, as a Beloved Husband for over 60 years of Doris, a Loving Dad to Betty, Bill, Joe & Bram (& their spouses), a Dear Poppy to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Bonnie, and many other friends and family members. We remember him as a happy, loud, and loving man, as well as a Canadian Navy Sailor, a Wheelsman of the Lakes & canals, and a faithful man of God.

Poem - Poppy, The Rock in our Family

For 11 years we've all felt sad,
That we've lost our Grandpa, our friend, and our dad.
Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears.

Thinking back, I really must say
I feel lucky and privileged to have known him to this day.
For in our lives, he played a special part.
The memories we will treasure and keep close to our heart.

Pops, we know when God called you, you had to go,
But we want you to know, we miss you and love you so.

And now we thank the good Lord above,
For blessing us with Morgan, with his kindness and love.
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss,
Take extra special care of him, for he is very dear to us.

Although he has gone, we will always be together,
As his spirit will live on in each one of us forever.
We all love and miss you Pops.
