SMITH, Stewart Curtis (Curt) - The SILVER Fox/Gramps- a very successful Harness Horse owner and breeder for over 30 years headed down the home stretch and crossed the finish line, entering the Winners Circle for the last time on Monday, January 25th in his 93rd year. Leaving behind his loving wife of 58 years Margaret. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Ivy "Nanny Goat" Smith, brother Gerald, sister-in-law Betty, brother-in-law Charlie and great grandson Keiran. Beloved father to Bob (Judy), Curtis (Joan), Rod, Susan (Dave) and Greg (Tracy). Brother to Ron (Nancy) and sister Beverley. He will be dearly missed by his 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Cremation has taken place. Curt served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1954-1959. He was a very ambitious Professional starting as a car salesman, progressing to owner of Burlington Datsun. He was an insulation salesman and progressed to starting his own Insulation company forming what he called his EMPIRE employing 25 people. Founded Stars/NRG Nightclub and a Paintball franchise. Although we will miss you Curt, your legacy will always live on. You were truly one of a kind. The biggest practical joker EVER and more full of life than anyone we have ever met. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Rest peacefully Curt, we love you. (The Hamilton Spectator 28 Jan 2022)
