In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar

HENSBERGEN, Lucas (Luc) - of Oliver passed away at his home at the age of 82 years.

He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 58 years and his brother Huib (Betty) in Holland; his sons Christopher and Glendon and his wife Juanita, beloved granddaughters Trina Lee (Eljay) and Jodi-Lynn, and the little girl who stole his heart great-granddaughter, Brianna Elizabeth.

Luc was born on April 16, 1927 in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He retired from the Royal Canadian Navy as a submariner based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He moved to the West to enjoy his retirement.

He was a kind and caring man who will be missed by all.

Luc's wife, Joyce Mary Hensbergen passed away in Calgary, Alberta on 04 Aug 2019. A short service will be held and both Joyce and Luc will be buried in Berwick, N.S. at a later date.
