Raymond Leonard (Bubs) Clyburne

CLYBURNE, Raymond Leonard (Bubs) - Age 74, of Purlbrook, Antigonish County, and formerly of Isaac’s Harbour, Guysborough County passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Isaac’s Harbour, he was a son of the late Leonard and Albertha (Kaiser) Clyburne. Bubs will be missed by many family members and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on the four-wheeler. In his early years Bubs worked in Ontario, then at the Dock Yards in Halifax, aboard the HMCS Firebird, retiring after 36 years. Bubs is survived by his wife, Julia (Fenton) Hayne; step-son, Marvin (Wendy) Hayne; step-grandsons, Adrian Hayne (Ashley Walsh), Justin (Courtney) Hayne; his adored step-great-grandchildren, Lily, Peter, Jaxon, Dallas, Nevaeh, Malcolm; sisters, Donna Langille, Maxine Scott, Jean (Berkley) Flick, Alma Flick; sister-in-law, Colleen (Richard) Langille; brother-in-law, Laurie Harpell; many nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by sister, Linda Harpell; brothers-in-law, Wendell Fenton, Reg Clyburne, Cecil Langille, Doug Cooke, John Scott, and Blair Flick. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 1 p.m. in Stormont Cemetery with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, 17545 Highway 316, Country Harbour.
