William Michael Victor Knox

Born: 23 Jan 1923, Chapleau, Ontario

 

Died: 12 Jul 2004, Vernon, British Columbia

 

KNOX, William Michael Victor - On this glorious summer morning, with birds singing, William Michael Knox (81) joined his beloved wife Mary Alice and cherished grandson Matthew James in Heaven.

 

William was born in Chapleau, ON on Jan. 23, 1923, one of five boys. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Kate, and grandchildren Rebecca (Richard), Jonathan; son John (Avis), and grandchildren Bernadette, Michele; Son David (Heather) Micheal, Erin, Alexandra, Frances; Daughter Elizabeth, grandchildren Ashley and Kelsey; Daughter Jennifer (husband Ashley), and grandchildren Braden, Garrett and Connor. Other special family members include Dixie, Sandi, Jason and David and a host of other friends and relatives.

 

Dad was a proud Veteran of WWII. A long time member of the Knights of Columbus and a kind supporter of community and church projects and people in need.

 

His greatest pleasure and pastime was spending time with his children and their families in their homes or on their travels together.

 

Dad was also a pioneer in the construction and oil industry as a Construction Project Manager he traveled coast to coast and in to the N.W.T.

 

Prayers 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15 Our Lady of Valley Church, Coldstream. Funeral Mass 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, Our Lady of Valley Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

 

Arrangements are in care of Vernon Funeral Home. Although Dad was blessed to spend his last days in his home, we would like to request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vernon Hospice House. (The Vernon Morning Star, Tuesday 13 Jul 2004)
