SUGGITT, Quintin William (Red) - Peacefully, on April 5, 2004 at the Concordia Hospital, with his family by his side, Quintin "Red" Suggitt, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at age 78 years. Red leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Beryl; and their children, Gayle (Roy), Robert (Penny), Rod, Joan (Paul), Christine (Mel), Judy (Tom), Gerald (Cathy), Nancy (Kim), Allan (Kim), Laurence (Mary) 16 grandchildren; a brother Fred of BC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Red and Beryl settled in Transcona in 1959 where they raised their large family with love and understanding. Red was born and raised in Winnipeg, joined the Royal Canadian Navy at the age of 17, serving until his honourable discharge in 1945. He then started a career in the electrical trade, retiring in 1990 from Molsons. Red was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 56 years. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by all. At his request there will be no formal service. Please join the family in a celebration of Reds life on Thursday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Club Room, Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Ave. East.
