SELIG, Arthur Kenton - 87 of Dayspring, Lunenburg County, passed away February 19, 2009 in Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital Veterans Unit, Lunenburg. Born in North Brookfield, he was a son of the late Maynard and Minnie (Jefferson) Selig and Stepson of Ruth (Jefferson).

 

Arthur will always be remembered for running the Little Grocery Store in Dayspring.Arthur was a veteran serving in the Royal Canadian Navy and a Life Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, Bridgewater, having received his 50 year pin.

 

Surviving are his son Donald Selig (Sharon), Hammonds Plains; daughter Gail Dover (Chris), Dayspring; brothers Harold Selig (Nora), Wileville, Wilfred Selig (Arleen), Oakhill; sister Norma Scott (Ron), New Germany; grandsons Aaron Selig (Sharon), Alberta, Adam Selig (Sabrina O’Neil), Halifax; granddaughters Crystal Mersey (Paul), Dayspring, Cheryl Dover (Larry Weisner), Rhodes Corner; Great-grandchildren James and Quinton Selig, Savanna O’Neil and Lola O’Neil Selig, Brody Mersey; several Nieces and Nephews. He was Predeceased by his wife, the former Marjorie Bolivar; sister Helen Harlow,Marjorie Meisner brothers Stanley, Keith, St. Clair; son-in-law Christopher Dover; infant Grandson John Dover.

 

Visitation 7-9pm Sunday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville and where Funeral Service will be 11:00am Monday. Rev. Willis Ott Officiating. Private Family Burial in Dayspring Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or the Fisherman Memorial Hospital, Veterans Unit, Lunenburg. (R.A.
