Ronald Farinton Drew

Died: 10 Jan 1990, Houston, Texas, USA

 

DREW, Ronald Farinton - Ron was born in Toronto, October 5, 1922 to Thomas Ernest Farinton Drew and Lealla Margaret Drew (nee Lynch) - brother to Gordon Drew. After he left the Service, he continued his education at the university of Toronto with a degree in History. He completed his MA in Russian history at Cornell University in New York State. Further he completed his PhD at Stamford in California – again in Russian history. He taught at the University of Houston for his entire career and passed away shortly after his retirement. He was married to Katherine Fisher, who shared his interest in history and retired as the head of the History Department at Rice University in Houston, Texas They both travelled extensively throughout Europe as part of their professional studies. Ron passed away on the 10th of January 1990 at Houston Texas.
