HILYARD, Edmond, AB A/AA3, 4229, RCN, MPK - 24 Dec 1944, HMCS CLAYOQUOT - Son of John E. and Georgina Hilyard, of Kingston, Ontario. Edmond Hilyard was born Joseph Edouard Forget, son of Donat Forget and Bertha Bois. He was adopted by John and Georgina Hilyard at the age of 19 days.

 

AB Hilyard died when ship, HMCS CLAYOQUOT, was torpedoed by U-806 on 24 Dec 1944.

HMCS BEAVER - Served in BEAVER 09 Sep 1941 - 18 Sep 1941 as an OS, RCN

* Rated A/AA3 27 Dec 1941

HMCS CLAYOQUOT - Drafted to CLAYOQUOT - 11 Jan 1942 as an OS, RCN.  Rated AB 17 Aug 1942.
