WRIGHT, James Gouding (Jim) - of R.R. # 2 Kenilworth passed away peacefully at the Saugeen Valley Nursing Home, Mount Forest surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late June (Torrance) Wright (1996). Dear father of Lloyd and his wife Susan, Diana and her husband Guy Booth, Stuart and his wife Carolyn, Carolyn Wright, and Mark Wright. Youngest daughter Ruth Ann passed away in infancy. Cherished and fun-loving Grandpa to Graham Wright (Rebecca), Amanda (Chris) and Tyler Wright; Laura (Jeremy) and Emily Booth (Igor); Timothy, Andrew (Danielle), Genna June and Chevonne Wright; Dear brother of Dorothy MacQueen. Uncle to Paul MacQueen (Mia) and Jean Ferguson (Rob). Fondly remembered by his special friend Jessie Ross and the Ross family. Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Beatrice Wright, brother Harold Wright, brother-in-law Donald MacQueen, and nephew John MacQueen.

 

Jim was an Arthur Township boy who knew the roads of Wellington County like the back of his hand. Early life was full of the experiences of those times – dances, music, buggy rides, and adventures with friends. He served his country in the navy and was a lifelong Legion member and supporter. Jim and June raised their family and built a successful dairy business together.

 

The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel 243 George Street, Arthur on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Arthur United Church on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. As expressions of sympathy donations to Royal Canadian Legion Branch #226 Arthur, the Arthur United Church or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #226 Arthur will conduct a Legion Service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. (Heritage Funeral Homes)
