SHELDRICK, Margaret Eleanor (née GILLHAM) - Passed away peacefully in Toronto. She will be remembered as a loving sister to Doreen and brother-in-law, Harold McCaffery. Adored Aunt to John (Danielle), Geoffrey, Nancy (William Balan), and Megan -Margaret Jane McCaffery. She was a loving great-aunt to Andrew, Stephen, Natalie, Nicholas, Mackenzie, Sara, Jacques and Joel. She is remembered by Doug (Pirkko) and Brian (late Susan) Sheldrick. She was a loving Nana to Liisa Sheldrick (Justin Thompson) and Katie (Tom) Bird; as well as their children, Foster and Oskar. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family in Holland. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald M. Sheldrick (2005); and her first husband, Johannes (Jan) Bellerson (1976). Margaret was born in Toronto to Louie (Denby) and John David Gillham. She attended Malvern Collegiate and The Shaw School of Business in preparation for a career in accounting for Glendinning, Jarret, Gray, and Roberts, then S.R. Perrin in Toronto. Prior, she was active in the Navy as a WREN. Margaret lived in Thornhill before retiring to Gravenhurst in 1983. She moved back to Toronto in 2017. She enjoyed many new friendships at Del Manor-Prince Edward as well as the weekly Bingo and Rummikub games. Margaret had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed sailing at Hawkstone, on Lake Simcoe and loved cottaging on Lake Joe and Lake of Bays. Margaret was active in the Anglican Church at Holy Trinity (Thornhill), St. James (Gravenhurst), and the Church of the Redeemer (Rosseau). She loved to travel. She was an accomplished seamstress, and knit many of the first sweaters worn by each niece, nephew or grandchild. She smocked beautiful dresses, stamped and made gorgeous cards, loved to bake and satisfied everyone's sweet tooth including her own. She had the foresight to pass on her butter tart and Christmas carrot cake production skills. Margaret was talented beyond years, did it all, and will be dearly missed by the many who loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held in Baysville, Ontario in the summer. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Church of the Redeemer in Rosseau, or the Campfire Circle (Camp Ooch).
