Son of William C. and Elizabeth C. Ninian of Calgary, Alberta. George served in the RCNVR during the Second World War.
George's brother, O/Tel, Thomas Maxton Ninian, died when his ship, HMCS LOUISBURG, was sunk in the Mediterranean during the Second World War.
