Margeurite Doris Gray

Died: 19 Jul 2019, Hudson, Quebec

 

GRAY, Margeurite Doris - Doris passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne’s Veterans Hospital on July 19th. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence Gray and Pearl Donovan and her three brothers Douglas (Joan). Wesley (Kathy) and Melvin (Audrey), she is survived by her sister Audrey Weston of Victoria, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews including Larry and Allen Gray and their families.

 

Doris was a proud WREN serving in St. Johns, NL during WW II.

 

After the war she moved to New York City area where she enjoyed a long and distinguished career with United Airlines. While with United she traveled the world including the visiting of China and paving the way for Trudeau and Nixon. Later in life she returned to Hudson to be closer to family. Doris spent her final years at Ste. Anne’s Veterans Hospital where she received excellent care from the staff on the eleventh floor.

 

Also an extra special thanks to Jacki Van Haveren, Doris’ exceptional care giver for the past six years. A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 10th at 3pm at the St. James Anglican Church, 642 Main Road, Hudson, QC followed by a celebration of a celebration of Doris’s life at the Hudson Legion. Both of these institutions were close to Doris's heart. (The Montreal Gazette 27 Jul 2019)
