Roger Noah Sheppard

Died: 20 Apr 2023, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

 

SHEPPARD, Roger Noah, Sr. - (Retired Navy) passed away on the morning of April 20th in the Admiral Long Term Care Centre in Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his long-time partner Marilyn Doucette of Dartmouth, who lovingly stood by his side and cared for him for many years.

 

He leaves behind 1 sister, Pearl Moores (Bert) of Brampton, Ont; 3 children Susan Bourgeau (Patrick), of Florida, Roger Sheppard (Kealyn) of Belleville Ontario and Nancy Sheppard of Halifax NS; 8 grandchildren, Christina Bourgeau (Kris Evong), Sean Bourgeau (Cherisse), Nicole Brusdeilins (Brad), Corey Sheppard (Lauren Kipper), Alyson Sheppard (Jason Barnes), Madison Veinotte (Natasha Schigas), Cody Veinotte (Shelby Grassick), Bay Veinotte (Sam Hedges); 11 Great Grand-Children, Taylor Bourgeau, Miley and Carter Postma, Holden and Chloe Bourgeau, Ian and Victor Brusdeilins, Jacob Sheppard, Mason and Ryker Johnston, and Bella Bragg.

 

Roger served 27 years in the RCN Stadacona Band, and many more as a master craftsman woodworker. The family would like to extend warm gratitude to Owen Budden who provided meaningful pastoral care, Alex Laundry for bringing the joy of music every week and the dedicated staff at the Admiral Long Term Care Centre. Memorial service and reception to be held at the Somme Branch Legion 31 at 54 King Street in Dartmouth on Thursday April 27that 2pm. To honour Roger’s love of dogs, Memorial donations would be very much appreciated to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
