In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
GRANT, Olive W. - passed away peacefully in Penticton, BC, on May 18, 2023, at the age of 103. She will be remembered fondly by her sister Glenys Clark and nieces Margo Duperon and Susan Garvie. Olive was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on March 28th, 1920. She enlisted in the Women's Royal Navy in 1943 and was discharged in November when her unit was demobilized. She worked, as a civilian employee at Canadian Forces Base Jericho, in Vancouver until her retirement in 1983. Olive lived in Vancouver most of her adult life, only moving to Summerland to live closer to family shortly after her 100th birthday. A Graveside Service will take place on June 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Canyon View Cemetery, Summerland. Memorial Tributes may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.
