Alfred Rundle was the son of William Campbell Rundle and Emma Louise Hooper. He enlisted in the RN for Hostilities only on 03 May 1918 as an Acting Engine Room Artificer. He was demobilized 21 May 1919. He married Mildred Cathleen Berringer 04 Nov 1926 in Halifax, NS.

 

CPO Rundle was awarded the RCN's Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 1935.

 

Alfred Rundle is buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia.  His headstone gives his year of birth as 1899, however, his Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy records give his year of birth as 1896.
