Born: 20 Jun 1942          Died: 26 Oct 2023

TOWERS, Kenneth (Ken) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81 on October 26, 2023. Beloved husband of 55 years to his wife Margret (nee Doktorcik). Cherished father of Kristie Friest (Bryan) and Amy Sebestyen (Shane). Proud Papa of Owen, Olivia, Chloe and Kolby. Dear brother of Gary Towers (2022) (Carol), Diane Edmunds (Doug), Debbie Cogliati (Dan) and Donna Bolohan (Bill). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ken retired after 36 years from a successful career at Chrysler Canada in the Finance Department. Ken was very social and loved to be around people. He found a second career in sales working until he was 81 years old, alongside Mario and Janice Nogueira at Guaranteed Windows, where they quickly became the best of friends. He was a proud former Commander in the Navel Reserves/HMCS Hunter where he received many honourable appointments and decorations. Throughout his life, Ken was an active member of his community including numerous positions at the United Way, Junior Achievement of Windsor, U of W Alumni, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Gregory's Parish Committee and St. Clair Beach Police Service Board. He loved his Monday night golf league, Thursday darts with his brother Gary, yard work and spending time with family and friends. He always loved a good party, and would never turn down a nice cold OV. Ken's witty sense of humour will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Riverside Place for all their dedicated care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Family and friends are invited to Good Shephard Church (462 Advance Blvd.) on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 for a Funeral Mass at 11am. Cremation to follow.
