In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SLEITH, Robert Bernard - Age 72, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Dad was born in St. Thomas Ontario and joined the navy as a teenager which is how he ended up spending his life in Nova Scotia. When he left the navy, he took a welding course and started working with the Halifax Shipyards. He worked in several positions and retired as a supervisor in the shipbuilding division. Everyone who knew Dad knew he loved muzzle loaders and was skilled gunsmith. He was extremely skilled in everything he did. Robert is survived by his two sons, Joseph Robert Sleith and Thomas Bernard Sleith of Dartmouth; his grandson, Austin Bebe-Sleith; his sister, Wendy Hepburn; and his brother, Charles Sleith of St. Thomas, Ontario. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold; and parents, Harold and Dorothy Sleith of St. Thomas Ontario. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, from 2-4 p.m. in A.L Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth. Please don't cry when I'm gone; instead, be happy that I was here (or maybe you can cry a little bit). Today I am happy, and I am at the range.
