Died: 28 Jan 1997, Riverview, New Brunswick

 

SAMSON, Roy Darryl - 26, Riverview, NB, former of Little Anse, Richmond Co., died 28 Jan 1997. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Medard Joseph and Iris Lillian (Shaw) Samson. He graduated from Isle Madame District High School, Arichat, in June of 1989. He joined the Navy on August 29, 1989; was posted on HMCS TERRA NOVA and served in the Gulf War, December 1990-May 1991. He was an air traffic controller, employed with Transport Canada for the past two years in Moncton Centre. Surviving are his fiancee, Tanya Thibeau, West Arichat; sisters, Bonnie (Mrs. Ronnie David), Arichat; Tammy Samson, Victoria, BC; brothers, Randy, Todd, Little Anse; Ray, Moncton, NB, Byron, Sydney; a nephew. He was predeceased by his twin brother in infancy. Visitation 2-4 7-9 p.m. today, 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, both in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Petit-de-Grat, Rev. Allan MacMullin officiating. Burial at a later date in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit-deGrat. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society (The Chronicle-Herald / Mail Star 31 Jan 1997)
