RENNIE, John Ernest, CPO, 3075, RCN MPK - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Ward Hubert and A. Elizabeth Rennie, of Kelowna British Columbia.

CPO Rennie died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on 29 Apr 1944. The province of Ontario honoured Chief Petty Officer Rennie by naming Rennie Point in his honour.
