Died: 13 Jul 1984, Pictou, Nova Scotia

 

CLARK, Russell Lewis - 76, Pictou, died Friday in the Sutherland-Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou.

 

Born in the Magdalen Islands, he was a son of the late Philip and Lauretta (Maclean) Clark.

 

He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy in Second World War.

 

He lived in Dartmouth for a number of years, and was employed as a chief engineer with Imperial Oil.

 

He was a member of St. James' Anglican Church, Pictou, and a member of Branch 16, Royal Canadian Legion.

 

Surviving besides his wife the former, Betty Mae Ashton, are a sister, Mrs. Cora Rbinson, Island East River; two sons, Russel, Jr., Dartmouth, and Richard, CFB Winnipeg; four sisters, Cassie MacPhail, Pictou; Winnie Warren, Ingonish; Margaret (Mrs. Ross Clifford), Toronto; Jean (Mrs. Duncan MacDonald), New Glasgow; a brother, Clifford, Pictou; and 14 grandchildren.

 

He was predeceased by two daughters, Joyce Buchanan and Eleanor Snow, and two sisters, Hazel Aikens and Georgie.

 

The body is in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, where funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Calvin Russell officiating. Burial will be in St. James' Cemetery. (The Halifax Chronicle-Herald, Saturday,  14 Jul 1984)
