Book of Remembrance

 

Son of Thomas and Millicent Fryday, of Toronto, Ontario; grandson of Frances Payton, of Toronto.  Rifleman George Fryday was killed in action in Germany on 04 May 1945. Prior to joining the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada he had served in the RCNVR from Apr 1942 to Sep 1942. He was released from the RCNVR once they found he was underage. He is buried in the Canadian War Cemetery, Holten, Netherlands.
