COLLINS, Ralph Norman, LS, 24238-E, RCN, died 19 Jun 1961, HMCS SUSSEXVALE - Son of Charles J. and Annie A. Collins. Husband of Catherine Rita Collins of North Surrey, British Columbia. Father of Theresa, Timothy, Kerry and Norman. Brother of Clinton, David, Vincent Collins and Madelan Kurucz.

 

Leading Seaman Collins joined the RCN 23 Mar 1953 in New Westminster, BC.  He died as a result of a diving accident during a recreational dive from the ship near Pender Island BC.

 


 

Collins, Ralph Norman - Suddenly on June 19, 1981, in Victoria, Norman Ralph Victor Collins, aged 26 years of 2036 Wellesly Crescent, Royal Roads, a resident here for 8 years, formerly of North Surrey. He leaves his wife Catherine; one daughter and three sons all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Collins of North Surrey; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Collins of North Surrey, also two sisters and three brothers. He was a member of the Gorge Vale and Colwood Golf Clubs.

 

Prayers will be offered in McCall Bros.' Floral Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m. The remains will be accompanied to Bowell & Cons, Coverdale, B.C. for prayers Thursday evening. Mass well be celebrated on Friday, June 23, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 8895, 120th St., North Surrey. Interment in Valley View Cemetery. McCall Bros. Funeral Directors Ltd. in charge of arrangements.
