Died: 17 Apr 2006

 

MALOTT, Fred - On Monday, April 17, 2006, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. Loving husband of Lise (Kaput) of Wheatley. Dear father to Ron and his wife Karen of Leamington, Ann Marie Malott and her friend Mike of Maple Ridge, B.C., Susan Malott of Leamington and step-father to Lucy and her husband Ron Kirst of Oshawa, Michael Kaput and his wife Barb of Canton, Mich., and Darcy Kaput and his wife Cindy of LaSalle. Pre-deceased by a son Mark (1986). Special grandpa to 4 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren. Beloved brother of Bill and his wife Mary of New Market, Lois Jackson and her friend Clare of Leamington, Jim and his wife Linda of Woodslee, and Ron and his wife Judy of Wheatley. Brother-in-law to Liane and Dragomire Basic of LaSalle, Rachel and Carol Forget, and Margot St. Pierre all of Gatineau, Quebec. Pre-deceased by the mother of his children, Barbara Laverty. Fred served with the Navy in Canada from 1954-1976, and then worked at the Wheatley Provincial Park for over 20 years. The Malott family would like to thank Carol Fair of the Bayshore CCAC for her wonderful compassion and care given to Fred. Visiting at the Hammond Funeral Home, 17 Little St. South, Wheatley (825-7741) on Tuesday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service from the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Jack Glover officiating. Interment Erie Cemetery, Wheatley. Memorial Donations may be made by cheque to the Wheatley Legion Br. #324, or the Wheatley Friendship Club. (The Windsor Star 18 Apr 2006)
