Died: 11 Jan 2018, Okotoks, Alberta, Canada

 

STEEN, Glenn Harold - Born in Chatham, Ontario 05 May 1937 and died 11 January 2018 in Okotoks, Alberta, beloved husband of Nancy June (nee Oliver) of Edmonton, Alberta passed away on 11 January 2018 at the age of 80 years. Glenn lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with his family at his side.

 

Glenn served in the Royal Canadian Navy where he volunteered for Submarines and served with the Royal Navy from 1955 - 1964, which took him on many journeys. His most memorable moment at sea was hearing the whales under the ice in Antarctica. He later met the love of his life Nancy (nee Oliver) Steen, and had celebrated fifty years of marriage.

 

Glenn is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Debbie Koenen; grandchildren, Shiloe Koenen, Amy Manegre and Morgan Blake; as well as seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Steen, father Clarence Steen, brothers Ralph and Edsil Steen, and daughter Donna Blake.
