GOULET, Robert (Bob) - passed away peacefully at the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial on May 17, 2025, at the age of 87 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after a courageous battle with dementia/Alzheimer's. Born on September 25, 1937, in Windsor, Ontario.
Bob joined the Knights of Columbus in 1980. He was a member of the Calais Branch, Canadian Legion Sackville for 46 years. His innate sense of duty and his desire to serve his country led him to a distinguished 25-year career in the Navy. Following his military service, Bob continued his work at the Halifax Dockyard for 15 years.
Bob's life was marked not only by his professional dedication but also by his deep and abiding love for his family. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leonard, Gary, and Donald Goulet, and his sister, Theresa Shields. Bob's spirit lives on through his surviving family member, Judy Trudell.
In 1957, Robert met Janet Kervin in Halifax. Robert (Bob) and Janet (Jean) went on to have 3 children, (Jr) Robert Roland (Rita), Wade Allan (Lisa), Toby Anne Bowen (Mike). Grand Children: Kim Duchesne, Shoana Bowen, Paige Bowen, Gable Goulet, Tessa Armstrong, Cole Goulet. Great Grand Children: Kai, Wilder, Opal, Art, River Jade, Teanna, Katlyn. Nephew: Shawn Kervin and Great Nephew: Riley and many more nieces and nephews.
In bidding farewell to Bob, we honour a life lived with purpose and love, a life that exemplified the best of us. He will be missed deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Rest in peace, dear Bob. Your legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were blessed to know you.
