KING, Raymond Joseph - Age 86 of Meteghan Centre, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at home with his loving wife, family and friends by his side. Born in Salmon River, he was a son of the late Everett and Leonie (Gaudet) King.

Raymond was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy. After leaving the Navy, he had many occupations until he settled on fishing and opening his own companies, R.J. King Fisheries Ltd. and Ocean’s Best Seafoods. He was a member of the legion, diving instructor, pilot and owned his own plane. He liked golf and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and any other kids around, with him being the biggest kid of all. He loved knowledge and took many courses. He enjoyed many interests throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with family and friends at Toby’s RV Park in Arcadia, Florida. He was hardworking, determined, honest (and stubborn, lol) and a very gentle, kind, loving person to all.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Stella Maris Cemetery, Meteghan. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date in Saint Mary’s Bay Community Centre (formerly Meteghan Lions Club).

Donations in Raymond’s memory may be made to Jacky Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association. (Meteghan Funeral and Cremation Services)
