A son of David Caskie MacIndoe (24 Mar 1889 - 06 Apr 1942) and Catherine Barr (née Seewart) MacIndoe 12 Feb 1887 - 16 Jan 1987), both born in Scotland. Brother of George, Thomas, Jessie and Margaret.
In the 1926 Canadian Prairie Census for Alberta, Bow River District, David is listed as 5 years of age.

LS David MacIndoe - Son of Mrs. Catherine MacIndoe of 2337 Balaclava, who is coxswain in command of a landing barge with the troopship Prince David, took part in the first landings in Southern France.
Ls MacIndoe, 22, also took part in the Italian operations and was with the first landings at Normandy.
He was born in Drumheller, Alta., and attended school in Lethbridge and at Vancouver Technical High. He joined the Fishermens' Reserve in April, 1941, transferred to Combined Operational Unit, naval commandos, and went overseas in April, 1943
He was employed by Canadian Steamships prior to his enlistment.
MacINDOE, David - With great sadness the family of David MacIndoe announces his passing at the age of 90 on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Delta Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Betty, his daughters, Linda (Morley), Carol (Richard), Geri (Bruce); his 5 grandsons and 7 great grandchildren and extended family. Special thanks to his niece Shelley (Roger) for her care and support. Dad you are loved and will be missed by many. A private service will be held for family and friends at a date to be determined.
