In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ULLATHORNE, Ronald Royston - Passed away at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on October 22, 2015 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Sal. Loving father of Dianne Jones (Steve), Louise Stiver and Corinne McMinn. Proud grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 6. Survived by his sister Shirley Wilson. Predeceased by his sister Edith Brown. He worked for IBM for 31 years. He served in the RCNVR on the HMCS Summerside during WWII. Ron was an avid golfer and loved spending time at the IBM golf course. Cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. (RRU001) Gunshield art painted by Ronald Ullathorne on the gun shield of the pom-pom in the after gun tub on HMCS SUMMERSIDE K141 (RRU002) Ron's service attaché case. This was used when sailors went on leave to carry the necessities - socks, underwater, shaving kit, letter writing kit, etc. Sailors travelled light on leave as they had to wear their uniforms.
