BOYCE, David Robert - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Boyce, who left us peacefully on April 25, 2025, at 73 years of age, with his wife and daughter by his side.
David was a devoted husband of 52 years and the best father anyone could ever hope for. He was a proud naval veteran, and spent his career in the shipping and logistics industry. David loved visiting his "second home" the Hilton in Barbados, where he enjoyed nothing more than sipping a rum punch on the catamaran "Cool Runnings". Whenever there was a game on, he could be found in his regular seat supporting the Toronto Marlies. He genuinely cared about people, could talk to anyone for hours, and will be forever remembered for making friends wherever he went.
David was predeceased by his parents Mary (nee Quinn) and Harry Boyce, and his brother-in-law Steve Sideris. He will be dearly missed by his wife Linda (nee Pepe), daughter Amanda, sisters Patricia, Deborah (Donald), and Sherry, nieces and nephews Kristina (Paul), Kelsey, Sean, Colin (Tatiana), Alex (Patti) and many great nieces and nephews.
David's family would like to thank the staff at Etobicoke General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
Memorial visitation will be held at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), Etobicoke, Ontario, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A time of reflection and tributes will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by light refreshments served until 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the Navy League of Canada, where David began his naval career and where he would want to support young people starting their journey as cadets.
