In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MEADE, Dermot Patrick - age 75 of Lower Sackville passed away December 18, 2025 at the VG Site of the QEII Hospital.
Born in Corner Brook, NL, he was the son of Stan and Mary Meade.
Dermot was 37 years in the Navy. He was an avid bingo player- favourite pastime ever. Dermot enjoyed reading, fishing with his children and the light of his life was his grandchildren. He was a true social butterfly.
Dermot is survived by his wife Debbie Hill, daughter Marissa Meade of Hubbards, son Stanton Meade, Halifax, NS, stepson Colin Hill, Cheryl MacKillop, sisters Joan (Len) Hanlon, Corner Brook, NL, Ruth (Andy) Smith, Halifax, Irene Meade, Corner Brook, NL, Doris Meade, Ochre Pit Cove, NL, Janet Meade, Corner Brook, NL, brothers Pat Meade, Whitby ON, Eugene (Diane) Barachois Brook, NL, brother in law Travis Baker (Wendy), several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dermot was predeceased by his brothers Peter Meade and Gerald Meade, Donnie (Skipper) MacKillop and mother in law Alice Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5th from 6-8 PM in Atlantic Funeral Home, 1110 Old Sackville Road. Service will be held on Tuesday January 6th at 11 AM in St John Vianney Church-Holy Trinity Parish with Deacon Art Mitchell officiating, where a reception will take place immediately following the service.
